S1D Optimist Stars Clinic a Hit!

This past weekend, 8-10 March 2019, the S1D Optimist Stars Clinic was held in Severna Park, MD. Weather unfortunately was not great, but the most was made of available wind, and when there was none Sunday morning, the crew spend valuable time going over a ton of video. Feedback from the sailors was universally positive, and the coaches seemed pleased with the effort. Focus this year was on listening, working on weaknesses, and starts.

Awarded by head coach Bernat Gali, CBOT members Amelon Rule (Hampton, VA) and Ashton Perkins (Annapolis, MD) received the “Going Places” awards this year for their consistent focus off the water and on. Each sailor got a beautiful S1D embroidered Samsonite roller travel bag!! Thanks to Sturgis Boat Works for delivering 4 charter boats!!
